Help needed with Survey Pro and doubling angles.?ÿ I started out on Carlson, and am having trouble figuring out how to use the Traverse function and repetitive angles at the same time in Survey Pro.?ÿ It seems I can do one or the other, but not both.?ÿ Is there a switch I need to flip...??ÿ

Check out this youtube.?ÿ "Repetition shots" for doubling angles.

It's been a couple years now since I last used SP, but I never had any use for the "Traverse" function - which updates the station and backsight immediately upon taking the shot. That seems to me like something that only made sense to a computer programmer, or perhaps someone punching in data out of a field book back at the office.?ÿ ?ÿ And the "Sideshot" function is for collecting topo shots.

It's been a while for me too, but I don't think that I ever used the traverse mode.?ÿ Just used Sideshot in the Traverse/Sideshot menu/tab.?ÿ

For traverse points, I think I used the Multiple Sideshots menu/tab

?ÿ

I like using Traverse Mode to help constrain me to good procedures.?ÿ I need all the help I can get!?ÿ Survey Pro to me is like the switch from Autocad to MicroStation, or from PC to Apple products!?ÿ Not intuitive!?ÿ Thanks for the feedback.

@learner?ÿ

I'm not necessarily sure I understand, but go ahead, do what you like.

The Multiple sideshot method gives you your double on the BS and FS, and works for monuments too.

Your office software doesn't care which DC method or routine you use in the field, as long as it gets the information it needs.?ÿ Good luck
