Hi all
Another question which I was hoping someone could shed some light on.
After taking a round of angles between 3 x stations (where one of my stations is also the backsight) I am trying to export the data using an style sheet named ISO Rounds Report.
When it comes to exporting the data using this style sheet I get 2 x options listed for "Report point Co-ordinates from", the options I get are:-
- MTA Observations
- Reduction Section
After exporting using both options I cannot see any difference between the two reports and I was wondering if anyone could explain the difference between the two.
I have attached a picture of the options for reference.
Can anyone help?
Thank you.
Not sure, but MTA records are mean turned angles averaged inside Access.
"General Survey Help" (the manual) may have more info.

You may find the following page helpful there is a stylesheet to output to Starnet format that you can experiment with.

A cursory glance at the Access help didn't tell me what the Reduction Section is, but I'll go out on a limb and guess that if you select MTA Observations the coordinates are recalculated, which would reflect any changes made after the fact, whereas Reduction Section uses the coordinate record that was generated when the rounds were completed, which would reflect the coordinates that were calculated on the fly at that time. But that's just an educated guess.
If I have time I'll play with it in the emulator and see what comes out.
