I am working on a project that was surveyed by LG Brackett & Co. in 1939. I was unable to locate them with a quick search. I am hoping someone local can point me towards the current manifestation of this company, or whomever has possession of their records. I have an email in to MALSCE but haven't heard back yet.

MALSCE published a dead surveyor's list a while ago that has a lot of that info in it. I attached a copy to this post. I don't see Brackett in the list though. DGT has a few Boston area surveyor's records in their possession. I haven't see a lot of work by Brackett so maybe they were either short lived or worked mostly outside the city. Any idea where they were located?

The plan I have says they were in Boston. But that was 1939, so who knows. MALSCE has provided me with some good info and I will keep hunting.

Actually, the person I corresponded with is from DGT, so unfortunately they don't have them.
