I find it sad that people are willing to abandon all common sense in exchange for the almighty GPS navigation.

Actually, I think it's somewhat of a trust issue. It must be right, right? I fell for that a time or two when trusting my Droid (using Yelp) to locate a restaurant. But I'd never trust it to get me through Death Valley.

If the line on the screen and the vioce say to keep going but the road isn't there...stop and turn around! Tragic in some instances, but as the song says, There's no dumbass vaccine.

Now I get it. This article was linked two threads below, even with a similar title line - but the catagory is "General Non-Surveying" These folks must have that filtered off.
