Has anyone used Gulf Instrument Services out of New Orleans for data collector screen replacement? How are they to deal with, etc.? They have an ad in the POB magazine.
I used Geoshack in San Antonio, Texas for a screen replacement (Topcon FC2000).
I walked it in and was out in a few hours for less than $300.
If you have one nearby, I highly recommend them. Good Company.

I wonder if they can put in a brighter screen? Physically there is nothing wrong with the screen I have, but I sure would like something a little better for the sun.
Yes, we had them do our Ranger about a year ago. I talked to the guy on the phone ahead of time, he seemed like he knew what he was talking about. We sent it in, and I can't remember the exact turn around time, but I think it was less than 2 weeks. Its been working fine since.
