I have got to get my spare Hiper+ out of the closet and on my network. It is controlled by a TSC2 (Ranger2) running TDS. Looking for a better way, if any, to connect. What is everyone using to get on a network and what are the details in that connection. IE a bluetooth motorola flip phone that needs one battery change during an 8 hour work day. Or mifi that lasts all day. Is there a plug-in method for the ranger2? I would like to hear everyones setup.

I've used an at&t motorola razor paired up with a tsc2 running surveypro in the past and currently have a verizon wifi device paired up with a nomad running carlson survce. The razor was a pain to setup the very first time but worked great and had decent battery life with an extended battery on the back instead of the factory one. The wifi device is extremely easy to setup with the nomad, although the battery life of the one I have is horrible. It works fine for the little bit I actually use it though.

Crew 1: Ranger 2 running Survey Pro paired to a Verizon Droid phone using pdanet, works fine, but a little clunky to get started, and battery life is about 4 hours.

Crew 2: Ranger 3 running Survey Pro and a Verizon jetpack mifi. The jetpack has 16 hours of battery life, and is fast and easy to get started.
