I will be getting a GRS-1 network rover soon, I am curious of the amount of data the rover will use a month. I am trying to determine the monthly plan through my cell phone company. Anyone who uses a RTN rover have any knowledge or idea of the monthly data used?

Thanks

I should know this, I can't remember exactly, but I'm 99% sure our Trimble VRS rover uses less than 1 GB per month (Verizon MiFi). The good folks at Keynet figured it out for me once. 1 GB or less and you'll be safe (I think...:-D )

it depends on how much you use it, but the RTNs use VERY LITTLE data.

It uses very little. The smallest (cheapest) data plan they have available will be more than enough; especially if the only usage will be while using the RTN.

It is less than 1mb per hour of continuous use. On a tsc2 controller with access you can monitor the bytes streaming into the dc in real time.

If you stop for a break you can pause the data stream in a vrs survey.
