Welcome everyone. I am your dam guide, Arnie. Now I'm about to take you through a fully funtional power plant, so please, no one wander off the dam tour and please take all the dam pictures you want. Now are there any dam questions?

Welcome to Oklahoma RH, hope you enjoy your stay. If you're into Bambi-slaying, Keystone use to be one of my favorite Whitetail hunting areas. There's big catfish at the west end of the lake, too.

Back in the mid-eighties we had a tremendous amount of upstream rains and Keystone Dam was opened to near capacity. There was over 300,000 cfs rolling over those spillways. It was an awe-inspiring sight.

Does your work include anything to do with this project?

That would be us.

I am going to split time between here and Tulsa between now and December and probably make an extended stay after that. One observation about OK...y'all loves you some Sooners. I bought a case of Sooner H2OK to bring back with me. I jokingly told the clerk I was going to fill my toilet tank with it. She didn't think it was too funny :excruciating:

Good luck with the job. There is going to be a cold wind coming off that lake this winter. Dress warm.

Warning for Roadhand

Better watch out for that Kiewit family, some of them are my relatives.

The founder's grandson married my second cousin, who happens to be 30 years older than me. They had five children together before eventually divorcing. They met in the early 1940's while Peter Kiewit & Sons was constucting an ammunition plant near her hometown.
