Greetings and Merry Christmas,
Has anyone used a cell bridge/repeater to extend cell coverage into a area like a valley or kettle to continue using a existing VRS GPS Network?
If you did, how did it work for you? Did you experience any change in horizontal or vertical accuracy?
Thanks
Bob

I'm Bumping this for Bob. Feel free to reply. 🙂

The Intuicom RTK Bridge does that and works great. We have not seen a decrease in accuracy with it compared to *pure* VRS.

Thanks for replying to this Tom, I was interested too.
I wouldn't need to use but once or twice a year, is it worth the costs?
Thanks again,
Doug
If you have Pac Crest base/rover UHF radios, you can use GNSS Internet radio (free) on a laptop in your truck and broadcast the VRS corrections by UHF radio to your rover.

A more cost effective solution is the bridge made by Base-N-abox. Two features i like about the M3 RTK Bridge is that it is a Wi-Fi hotspot when it's running and it can be remotly mananged via a webpage right from my cell phone or laptop. Cost is a bit less too $2,500. However i know they (BNB) also sell used intuicom and champion bridges for around $1500.
Why not use it all the time? Why only a couple times a year? Just asking.
