I ran into a pretty interesting surveying system, described

Basically, the system consists of a specially modified Disto A3 with addition of compass and clinometer. Internal circuit board added within OEM body of Disto A3. Modified Disto records azimuth, inclination, and slope distance, the three ingredients of surveying. Bluetooth connection with PDA running software.
Obviously the limitation on the system is the measurement of angles, but I thought it very interesting nonetheless, and thought I'd post it here for your consideration.
