We have quite a few Carlson Surveyor data collectors. The touch-screen on one of the units is not working- Just didn't work yesterday when we turned it on...no physical damage or anything.
There is a button on the top right (hard key) marked "TS"...I think that button enables/disables the touch screen. But nothing happens when we push it...
Any other ideas?
Make sure there is no grit around the edges of the screen. Take a toothpick or similar small object and clean any grit from under the edge and see if that helps.

Thanks Larry...
We tried that too.
Data Collector Screen Repair?
Upon further inspection, I think I see some damage to the screen. I remember an ad in the back of POB (or one of those magazines), for screen repair. Does anyone know the name/number of the company?
Thanks.

Data Collector Screen Repair?

Before you send it out, have you tried looking at the TS setting in the Control Panel, not in Carlson? Also, try giving it a hard reset - maybe that will fix it.
Just hoping you don't have damage to the screen after all.

To enable/disable the touchscreen via the blue TS button on the upper right of the Carlson Surveyor, first press the "2nd" button (the blue function key) and then press the TS key at the upper right of the keyboard.
Performing this operation inside of SurvCE will disable the touchscreen (making it possible to wipe water, dirt or other debris from the screen). A prominent alert will show on the screen while the touchscreen is disabled.
Performing this operation outside of SurvCE will display a "/TS/" indicator toward the upper right of the screen near the battery strength indicator.
