Anyone know if there is an external power pack for the Carlson Surveyor+?
I'm looking for something that would use regular batteries to get a job finished when the Li goes dead.
TIA

There is not a manufacturer approved external power solution for the Surveyor+ that I'm aware of. However, power specifications for the Surveyor+ state:

>Runtime up to 16 hours
>Two battery slots
>Runtime up to 32 hours with two batteries*
>
>*Actual runtime depends on application and configuration

There is also a travel charger kit that can be used to charge a spare battery:

Travel Charger
Charges spare battery, includes Cigarette Lighter Power Adapter. LED indicators for power applied, charging, charge complete. May also be used with standard AC Power Supply.

That extra battery is really nice, I have yet to have the data collector go dead in the field on me, even after some 8 hours or longer days. With some of the past data collectors I used, I would be lucky to get 4 hours out of them. I know of some of the older Carslon they have a charger you could plug into a battery and connect to the date collector.

Is that what you are looking for? Its not for the Surveyor Plus however.

I have only had to use the cigarette lighter power adapter once, and that was because I forgot to put the date collector on charge after a long weekend.
