Interesting article in the New York Times. Every year the street grid for Burning Man is laid out in the desert. A plan is created and the streets, etc. surveyed and marked.
Here??s that article, pretty cool! ?ÿ?ÿ https://www.nytimes.com/2019/09/05/upshot/paul-romer-burning-man-nobel-economist.html?searchResultPosition=1
This should be a required attachment to anything referencing burning man.
I did a ground control survey there in mid July. Interesting place. Gerlach (nearest town, stayed at Bruno's Hotel) was also interesting, looks like a lot of the residents came to the festival sometime in the past and never left. Never saw another vehicle or person while I was out on the playa.?ÿ
Years before there was a Burning Man, I was PC on a crew surveying the AT&T Coax 22 project across the Black Rock and Smoke Creek deserts. Stayed at Brunos Country Club (as it was called then) several weeks. Played single deck blackjack dealt by Bruno's mother. His kitchen served up the best homemade raviolis.?ÿ
She should ask, "what happens between 10 and 2?"
I prefer a leisurely 2 week vacation at Slab City.?ÿ
