DOT is now saying that it'll be open by June 15. I hope so.
Andy
If we are just talking about getting it open, I would think they could pound temporary steel girder support piles in the ground, or since there is nothing under it, just start piling fill dirt and pave over it. Maybe just 2 lanes worth to get it open, rebuild the other side and swap traffic again.

So who had 42 days in the pool? Interesting video here.
Amazing
There has been a road closure in our little city since the floods here back in March 2016 that devastated parts of Louisiana.
It is a minor arterial Street but an important one to drivers. Just a regular street.
Twin culverts and a headwall washed out. After 14 months, construction begins in June. Contractor says 21 days to complete. Mayor and city engineers waiting on FEMA funds even though the street had to be repaired.
But FEMA will pay twice of the actual expense to repair not to mention all of the bureaucratic expenses involved.
Whadda goin' to do?
The contractor (C.W. Matthews) was probably the only one on the area with enough men, equipment, know how, etc. to get the job done that quickly. They got a significant bonus ($3.1 million) for completing the job this soon. According to reports a significant portion of the bonus will go to the workmen on the job. My hat is off to them if that is the case.
Our Pierce elevated was done under one of those bonus contracts.
