Hope all they're getting is rain. The cable weather is reporting some nasty storms down his way.

They're about to take it on the chin up there:

Interestingly - thankfully - so far almost all of the rain has been to the north of us down here.

Y'all stay safe down there. We've got flash flood watches/warnings here in Georgia too.

No big deal here. Ditches aren't even filled up. A few minor wind gusts. A lot of media overhyped reporting for this area.
Sporadic showers but it has been raining a lot here this spring and summer. June is the month for competive soccer tryouts for the fall by state rules and most of the tryout sessions have been rained out along with the makeup dates. Gonna be interesting.
Construction workers haven't been happy about lost work and the local
Snowball stand too.

Heard the news report about the tragic fatal accident of the 10 year old St. Louis, Mo. boy at Fort Morgan, AL.

Just unexplainable that a rogue wave would cause this.

Fort Morgan is one of the stretches of Gulf beaches that I enjoy. When our boy was about 10 years old, we spent sometime there watching sea turtles nest and enjoying the beach. Probably just a piece East where this tragedy happened.

I feel for his father who tried to revive him. I guess that he was just crushed internally by this flotsam.
Probably was left there by some prior hurricane in years past like Ivan or Katrina.

The power of moving water is just incomprehensible.
