I'm looking for a way to organize the empty bed of a spare survey truck. Our trucks are typically outfitted with a fabricated steel roll out storage system that works really well, however its to expensive for a 'spare' truck. I want to keep the spare truck stocked so I need some type of locking system - maybe a tonneau cover, but then what do you use to keep organized?

Curious to see what some of you guys are using.

Thanks!

Flat bed. Toss every thing you need on it as you leave, remove when you return. Have never had so much as a roll of flagging stolen while stopped to eat lunch or run in the courthouse. Being the biggest, meanest, crudest SOB in the valley might have something to do with that, though.

We measured the beds of the trucks then in cad built the boxes we wanted all to fit under a rolling tonneau I would reccomend retract tonneau. Then found a sheet metal guy to build the boxes. I think it was around 5 or 6 hundred a box

I've been using between 3 & 4 sections of sewer pipe sandwiched between 4 2x4's. I then place a sheet of 1/2" plywood on top. Quick, simple and cheep. Use milk crates on top of the plywood for holding hubs, tools and paint.
