Good morning-

My Carlson tablet running SurvPC is not, apparently, up to running Windows 11.  I'm hearing good things about Winux:

https://winuxos.org/

But I'm afraid of experimenting on my means of data collection.  Has anyone had any experience with that OS?

Thanks!

Leica's switched to Lunix on the TS20 because of Windows 11 lack of support for monitors under 8".  I'm guessing that means other vendors will be following.

As for Windows 10, the LTSC versions on the CS30/35 will be supported with updates through 01/09/2029 and the CC180 through 01/13/2032.  I would look into the version running on your tablet.

There's a bunch of Redditors who don't seem to like it, and point out their ideas of better alternatives.

I'm leaving well enough alone - I'll be well past my best-by-date in 2029

I tried to look at that site but the BitDefender Endpoint Protection software on my computer blocked it. Apparently, a "Web Proxy Blocker" is some really bad juju. The Defender won't even let me look up the term on DuckDuckGo so I can understand why it got blocked.
