Where do you all keep your Civil 3D Survey Databases? I'm kinda new to Civil 3D and am trying to figure out the file structure housekeeping for Civil 3D projects. The survey tab seems to suggest that all the survey databases are supposed to reside in one central directory, otherwise you seem to have to change the working folder every time you switch projects. I'm used to having project directories with everything related to that project in that directory (LDD style). How is everybody handling this?

We use a folder named "C3D" within the project folder and store the C3D database in this folder.

I'll tell you where I'd like to keep it. In a subfolder under the same project directory that the C3d drawing is in. But since, like many of us,?ÿI work multiple projects in a given day setting all that up would be a lot of work. So I just have them all in a "C3d projects" folder.?ÿ ?ÿ ?ÿ

I've done both working for a civil firm, if it's a big project where others will use the data down the cad stream i created a folder in the project "sdb" otherwise for project staying in our survey dept, I would use one folder where survey stuff resides, then within that folder I would make an archive folder. After 30 projects in that folder the list gets too long to navigate. Once a year i would shift all the finished projects to the archive folder.
