Trying to streamline my work flow a bit and get these two playing in the same sand box. Getting up and running with our new S6 running Access loaded onto a TSC3 but I have another TSC3 loaded up with Survey Pro that I'm using to run a couple R8 GNSS 3's and my conventional TS. Someone out there has some experience in using the two of these. Trying to work out the best way to move files back and forth between the two. Up to this point the only thing that seems to work is importing a TDS .job file into TBC and exporting it as a .dc file and then importing that into Access and converting to a Trimble .job file. Drop in a .dxf for line work and bada-bing bada-boom.
Someone out there please tell me there is a better way.
Checking out the latest version of TBC. I hardly recognize it. Looks like Trimble has hopped on the Civil 3D bandwagon.
The suggestions box is now open.
Thanks in advance. Willy out.
Just because I'm paranoid, doesn't mean they aren't out to get me.
will survey access read the latest .survey file from survey pro? it means you would have to upgrade to survey pro 5.4 but perhaps it will
Will Survey Pro write out Job XML (.jxl)? That's the best format for Access.
I believe I owe you a cigar Lee. 🙂
I will pose the question to the Trimble rep regarding the next TBC release slated for October and it's the ability to work seamless between the two file systems. That would definitely be a good thing.

Doesn't appear to be the case, however both can read an .xml file which can be exported/imported by either. Appears it's the only file format the two systems share.
So much for technology making my life simpler. 😐
