Good evening.

I have obtained a copy of Topcon Tools with a hardware/usb dongle. The dongle came with a Topcon Tools v.8 cd, with serial number. I obtained the program and USB dongle from a surveyor who had either upgraded or was closing down. He did not specify.

I installed the Topcon Tools propgram (v.8), and then installed and upgraded the usb drivers. The dongle works for my earlier version 7.5, but does not work for v.8.

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? I have an email in to the person who I got the program from, but have not heard back yet.

Thanks in advance

Try grabbing the latest driver for that dongle: http://www.safenet-inc.com/support_and_downloads/Download_Drivers/Sentinel_Drivers/ it is the file at the top of the list.

Jimmy,
Send me the code the registration status screen generates for your install and let me see if I can get you working.

Jerry and Daniel,

Thanks. I downloaded the latest drivers. It is a hasp drive, whatever that means.

I am in the field today, so it might be later tonight before I make it back to the office. Just taking a short break now while Cbris is moving ahead to set a point in the creek to move down into it to close out this traverse.

Thanks,
Jimmy

Dave, I agree. I was just fortunate to be able to get the usb key and it be legit.

I think once you are registered, then the updates are no problem.
