Walked in to new computer on Monday.

We have GR3's and Hyper Lite +'s
Use PC-CDU or TRU for download. We use no other Topcon desktop software.

I managed to get a bluetooth connection, but it was painfully slow.

The USB drivers in Topcon's website are all about 5 years old.

Good luck finding drivers for 8.1 -Not saying its impossible, but man, I don't think its likely. Does the software even run on that OS? If I were you, I would be reformatting that 8.1 off the hard drive and go back to a nice solid setup of XP. With the newer computers of today, XP would run like lightning. Plus you can pick up a copy of XP pro for almost free (if you don't already have it laying around). You may even want to look into installing multiple OS platforms until 8.1 matures.

Not sure if 8.1 has it too, but I use Windows Mobile Device Center for transferring USB data through my data collectors -Might be a solution to part of your problem, but getting the data on the PC doesn't do you much good if your processing software won't run.

You have to change the settings to allow Windows to install unsigned drivers. The link below shows how to change your settings.

PPI came through (my dealer). They sent me some drivers (windows 7) and it works with Topcon Receiver Utility.

I dont know why it isnt on the Topcon Website. It is USB driver version 7.13
