We recently purchased TBC to better coordinate with a Teaming Partner. Our first project is a large rural boundary. This requires the ongoing reduction of total station traverse data from multiple crews. Our experience to date has been very frustrating. The editing of raw data appears to be very limited. As long as the field crews do everything perfectly, we do not see a problem. The problem is that we have good imperfect crews. The problems that this causes are fixed in short order with SurNet, StarNet, RDS or just about any survey software that I have been exposed. Does anyone like using TBC for Traverse Reduction? So far I am a hater.
Do a search, you are not alone! Jp
Long time hater, first time poster.
I hate it. Horrible interface. The post-processing is ridiculous.. I don't understand the logic behind having two vectors result from one observation.
Are there any alternatives for processing trimble data? This software is so horrible... every time I think I'm getting better at it I realize something else I've been doing wrong.
You can export it as an SDR file and process in Carlson Survey. Don't use Trimble DC file, because I've found it misses the occasional prism constant adjustments.
