We just picked up an old Ashtech / Sokkia GSR2300. One of the floppies is corrupted, so I cannot even try to run the software. I've spent a few hours trying to find something, but I have had no luck. Anyone have the software? Or would the GRX Utility work? Those take forever to download and are all password encrypted.

try here

look under option 2, land survey, older products and you may find what you need.
The receiver you have is basically a rebranded Ashtech Z Surveyor

Thank you, I will be sure to get something to work. It will be quite interesting to see how these become incorporated into our mix.

While outdated, the whole setup (fixed height tripod, 2m rod, 35 watt UHF, UHF receiver, 2 antennas, 2 receivers, backpack, and a bunch of wires: only missing a battery, a charger and two PCMCIA cards) was only a grand. It was purchased by a Town who never seemed to use it as it has fewer scuffs than a floor model.
