Hi,
I currently have a xerox copier machine. The monthly renting price isn't justified anymore now that i am trying to go paperless.
I'm ending the contract but want a decent printer for my A4 and A3 plans. I'm looking at the Ecotank principle for inkjet (color) . Does anyone have experience with this?
For solely A4 i'm looking for a decent A4 laser printer.
Greetings
I'm the wrong guy to ask. Last year I had to replace a 23-year-old LaserJet 4 because there are no Windows 10 drivers for it. I replaced it with a 13-year-old LaserJet 4250 given to me by a friend. I'm all set!

Isn't that a bummer? It probably still worked just fine. It's a shame there isn't a universal driver out there.

I dread the thought of having to replace my 1996 HP LaserJet 5P just because there are no Win 10 drivers for it. At least under Win 7 it still works... for now.
It has been one solid, faithful printer for me.
I purchased a HP color laser printer last year for about $400 which I thought a the time was a good price. It does an excellent job, however, when it was time to buy new toner the price was $320, almost wanted to buy a new printer. I was replacing an old HP laser printer that started to miss feed after 10 years of my second hand use. Although when I fired up the old laser the lights dimmed for a second or two.
My advise is to get a black and white laser for everyday use and then a inkjet printer for color printing. Be careful not to buy one that has a chip in the cartridge, you won't be able to refill them and the cartridge ends after a certain amount of printing, not till the ink or toner runs out.
I purchased a HP black and white laser printer several years ago for about $60 which is still working great, but I gave it to my wife since I didn't think I would be needing it anymore.
I bought a cheap Brother laser printer a few years ago and it has worked well.
They certainly do waste a lot of toner by shutting off too soon. There are two tricks needed to be able to use up the toner cartridges in that machine. First, you find the optical sensor and put a piece of black tape over it to keep it from nagging you halfway through the cartridge. Then when it refuses to print any more from that cartridge, based on number of pages, you take two screws out of the cartridge, rotate the plastic gear back to its initial position, reassemble, and print another ream or so before the quality degrades.
I have a hp Laserjet 5200 for all my prints. Does 11x17. Black and white though.
Fast and it's been reliable. Get thousands of pages per cartridge
Got a call yesterday from Xerox. The machine was leased for 5 years. I can buy it for 300â with a quarterly maintenance contract of 35â for ink.
Seems like a good deal. I think i'm going to keep it.
Ricoh Color Laser Printer for $69 and free shipping -- read the comments to find out how to refill the toner cartridges for $40. If I didn't already have an awesome HP color laser (that I paid $99 for), I'd be all over this.

Thanks Wendell, done and done. 7-10 business days
Wow, what a tank, 64 pounds. I think the UPS guy hates me. Good quality printer, will print duplex, wifi setup was pretty easy in spite of feedback on the slickdeals site that said otherwise.
