Ok - so I'm trying to use the General Legal Description for Parcels in the C3D 2011 toolbox. For some reason, it wants to give me everything clockwise, instead of counter clockwise (the direction I created the line). I tried changing it to say "Counterclockwise" in my Parcel Settings, but that didn't do it. Is there another Clockwise/Counterclockwise setting somewhere that I'm missing?

I had these problems before, but have been using the older version (that came with 2009 for LandXML parcel reports), but that is going to be pulled off my computer soon, so I need to figure the current version out. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Paul

When you add an annotated bearing and distance label to your polyline, is the bearing reversed? (You can also do an Inquiry for Line and Arc Information) If so, you need to do a Polyline Edit (PE) and type "R" to reverse it, then Enter to exit the command. Then your description should come out correct. If it does not, let me know, as I have some other options to try...

The polyline is going the correct direction, and the labels go that direction too. I think it is something in the parcel settings or survey toolkit, but I just can't find where.

The files for creating these Legal Descriptions are located at:
C:ProgramDataAutodeskC3D 2011enuDataReportsxslGeneral Legal Description for Parcels.xsl

I just created my own legal and it came out correct. I am not much of a programmer/VB guy, but there is probably a way to change what you need in the background in the .xsl file.

Any way you can send me a file (.dwg) of the linework you are trying to use? Maybe I can help better with that...

You can also try:
-Open Toolspace
-Open Prospector Tab
-Click "+" symbol next to "Sites" subitem
-Click "+" symbol next to "Site 1" subitem (this also holds true for multiple sites if you have created them)
-Right-click on "Parcels" subitem
-Click Properties
-Under the Analysis Tab on the right side, you need to make sure the "Process segment order counterclockwise" is unchecked.
-You also need to check the settings on all of your Parcels if they are already created....
