We are looking at a HP T830 multi and a Cannon IPF770MPF.
Does anyone have any experience with either of these two plotter?
Thanks,
No - but we just bought a HP T2530 multi function.
Initially when they set it up, we went through 3 display screens before we could get one that was responsive. Then we had issues with it not responding correctly. They came and replaced the main controller. Finally they had to purge the memory..all the firmware, then re-load the firmware.
Knock on wood it seems to be working fine now. It has only had one paper jam so far...
The scanner does not do as good as a job as a dedicated scanner. It is not good for scanning old tattered maps because it grabs a hold of the map and very quickly feeds it in. I could see it shredding an old map.
Works fine for scanning mylars or paper maps that are in good condition.
The print speed and quality is fine for surveying/engineering plans.
Sitting here in my temporary digs at the new job and I'm looking right now at that canon. Haven't even used it yet, so I can't speak to performance, alls I know is it takes up a LOT of floor space relative to what I've used. Like, a LOT. If you have the room, no sweat. May be something to consider though.
No experience with the IPF770MPF ,but we do have a Canon and it's a beast.
Rarely any downtime and it's being used by 50 CAD stations. But we do have another for B&W or when we need lower print quality
