Does anyine have a NCS layer state (.las) that has all the "V" survey layers that they would be willing to share?

Or a .dwt file with these layers in them would work too.

Thanks

Here is a Good Luck Mister shortcut.
NCS partial

I need the NCS for an engineer who does not really care about the layers. I started with some of these drawings and I never updated the list to the proper color, style, linetype, etc. I then updated all the attributes to my own custom linetypes, colors, etc. in a different drawing and created a translation file from my CAD layers to the NCS layers plus some changes.

I am not a fan of these layers as there is no logical organization and I cannot understand the advantage to the V-####-####- template.

Fortunately, I do not currently need a full NCS file. This is a start for you and you may have to spend some time bringing these into proper conformance. Perhaps someone else will provide you with a better file in the meantime.

Good Luck, Thadd

Google "CADBIM". You will get links to a a Corp of Engineers website that has a near facsimile of the US National CAD Standard, for free. Template files, linetypes, shapes, the works.

You do have to sign up for it, but, trust me, you won't get any spam from the Corps. The FBI will not visit. Homeland Security will give you only a passing glance.

Did you get what you need? If not, then send me an email. There is a guy that you and I have both worked with last year who might have what you need.

Shoot me an email and I can send you a .dwt I am working on with NCS layers compliant with FAA AC 18B, the descriptor keys I use and I believe the blocks should be included. I do not believe we kept the architectural or landscape architectural layers as our departments now use BIM for this.

From this, you should be able to pick and choose what you need.
