I just figured out how to display a background map in Trimble Business Center. According to the help file, I should be able to chose from the following background maps:
- Trimble Mapview with OpenStreet Map data
- Trimble Outdoors topographic quadrangle data
- NAIP (National Agriculture Imagery Program) agricultural growing season data
However, I am only getting Trimble Mapview as an option. How do I get the NAIP Imagery as a choice?
As a separate question, is there any way to use another web service (Esri service) as a background layer in TBC?
I'm using TBC v3.80, with the Base license & GIS Module.
That's outside my area of expertise, have you tried talking to Eric Bock at NEI?

How did you get mapview to display?
It was rather convoluted and not explained very well:
- Sign up for a Trimble Connect account. I chose the free one ( http://connect.trimble.com/get-started )
- In TBC goto File>Options>External Services-Profiles and enter your Trimble Connect account info
- Right click the project name in the plan view and select Properties. Below the General Information box you should now see a Background Map box. You can turn the map on and off and select the map you want. According to the help file you should also be able to choose a topo map and NAIP aerial photography in addition to the OpenStreet Map. But I don't see that option. Perhaps that has to do with the free Trimble Connect account I have. I don't know.
Darn. I need them to update me to 3.8
