I have created quick codes and associated them with lines to utilize the automatic linework feature within MAGNET Field. Is there a way to associate two points with different descriptions with the same line? For example while performing an AS-BUILT TOPO of hardscape frontage, I was taking shots along the back edge of walk (BEW). Along the BEW were angle points where a driveway was placed. Is there a way to call out the angle points (BEW AP) and still associate it to the same line and continue on with the automated linework functionality?

Yes, you can accomplish this with multi-codes. I'm not sure if it works in Quick Codes.

In Topo click on the CODES button at center-left. Then select Multi-Codes and bottom right.

@leegreen

are these multicodes only viewable in MAGNET OFFICE like the photo function? We are bringing our points into Civil 3D with our linework. Will the points import with two lines of codes or just show the first?

No, multi codes are NOT only viewable in MAGNET OFFICE. The multi codes are viewable in all raw data and exports from Magnet Field. You should configure the "Styles" to export the code separators suitable for your Cogo software.

@leegreen

is there a way to save a multicode? i.e.: have it in you global code library as a regular code selection (TFOC*BC) instead of selecting a multicode each time?

The export delimiter is uniform across the whole file being exported. While importing from a .txt in P,N,E,Z,D format, the only way I can export multicodes is P,N,E,Z,D,D. What would be helpful is a P,N,E,Z,D*D export format.
