I bought a HP 7612 ledger size printer. When I print a color aerial photo out on it I get white lines spaced about a half an inch all the way down the print. It appears to be a lack of memory in the printer.
Will the Brother MFC-J6710DW printer handle large print files?

Yes it will. I have an older model and it does excellent air photo color plots.

For some images , it is necessary to adjust the print commands to print what you see.
The problem can also be in having the correct driver for the program and task.
Many computers that update regularly will override the software and drivers that are needed for the hardware and cause less than desirable results.

Mine constantly overrides the Logitech, Lightscribe, SMI Transfer and a few other drivers and keeps me having to reinstall the programs for them to work properly.

Apart from that, the Brother MFC-J6710DW printers are great.....

I recently got a Brother MFC-J6920DW because I needed a fax and scanner. It also does a good job on color 11x17 prints and copies. It was on sale for around $200. I feel like it was a good deal.

the MFC-J6710DW works fine.
ink is cheap too.

the scanner is also good, and the document feeder is handy. I am 99% paperless, I do bulk scanning to PDF.
I can print wifi, but not scan with wifi... maybe the windows software can do that.
the bundled software works fine but it is Windows, I use Linux.
Brother provides good Linux support, all special drivers are on line with tweaking instructions.

I will hunt for a Linux driver, or dig into the settings, thanks
