I am trying to setup my Output Database file in Carlson Survey GIS settings and keep getting a command that I need to install "ADO/ADOX 6.0 database server".

I called tech support and they directed me to a page where I import a text file into the registry editor on my computer. Well I tried that and it still comes up with the same line of install "ADO/ADOX 6.0 database server". I have tried this multiple times and am at my wits end. I have tried calling tech support again and they aren't sure what the issue is either.

Has anyone ever had this problem before?

I am currently running Windows 10 with Carlson Survey 2016 IntelliCAD.

Thanks for any help in advance.

If i remember well it's about some A... Database Objects engine from Microsoft. From the Win95 ages. So search the Microsoft download pages .... Or Remove and reinstall.

Thanks Christ, I am not in my element trying to figure this stuff out and have absolutely no support from Carlson. I always heard that they had good support, but that is not my experience in this case.

I recently turned on a new computer that had bare bones version operating system.
Took about a month for everything to install snd work properly.
There were about 500 updates to be installed between windows and user programs to make it happen.

good luck :8ball:

I think it depends on which module you are working with. Their support for the Civil/Survey modules is very good.

I spoke to soon about the poor customer support. I did get a call back from the lead IT tech and he was able to help me out so I am very thankful for that.
It ended up that I needed to download the 32 bit version of Carlson Survey instead of the 64 bit version. Don't ask me why, but this worked and I am off an running again.
