I have Carlson Standalone 2006, how do I convert a DWG to a Shapefile? Thanks for all the help.
Shapefile for GIS or Shapefile for use with AutoCAD? Two completely different creatures.
Unfortunately you have the email link turned off. Otherwise I could send you a pdf tutorial on doing this in Carlson Survey Embedded. It's for the 2010 version, but if you have the GIS tab in your copy you should be able to follow along. BUT I am not real sure Carlson 2006 has this ability.

Thanks, yes I turned on my email. After your post I looked in my GIS tab and it shows a shp file export and import. I'll try that. Thanks again.
