Using Carlson Survey 2022 on Intellicad 10.1:?ÿ Every time I open a DWG, I have to manually go into Dim Style Manager and clear overrides.?ÿ Is there any way to turn this off or set my custom style to remain as the override??ÿ It's so frustrating to have to do this EVERY time I open a DWG.

make sure your custom style (fit tab, scale for dimension features matches your drawing setup scale)

say dimstyle uses overall scale of 50, then in drawing setup make sure horizontal scale is also 50 (then no override)

may have to save new carlson.dwt for changes to effect New dwg.

@ozzy84 I always have to type "dimscale" after clearing dim overrides for my custom dimscale to work.?ÿ So how would I set it if each DWG is a different horizontal scale?

<div>Why should a dimension style only apply at one scale? If the scale field on the Fit tab has to exist, shouldn't it adopt the scale of the drawing?</div><div>

Surveyors do not draw every map at the same scale, and it is ridiculous to require creating an otherwise identical dimension style for every possible scale-full stop.

We do, however, need the same color, linetype, RELATIVE arrow size, text placement, etc. for each map. You know, STYLING 😉

This is an old post with unanswered questions. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Thanks!

Relieved to see this topic come up.

I thought it was my incompetence that required me to change the style every drawing....
