Good Morning,
Hope all is well with you, I'm still on my feet surveying and could use a hand trying to solve this one.
We are trying to import CAD design DGN files into TBC to help with QA/QC surveying for a large DOT project. We can import base mapping files but are unable to import infrastructure design sheets showing features like sidewalk, curb, gutter and paving.
We are trying to find out if we need to adjust a setting, if there are layer management issues or if this is possible at all?
You're help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank You!
Paul
You are doing better than you think
Almost all of your file entities are being imported...

136 objects were imported successfully.
Because the files contain the layers of the same name you are being told that the settings on each may not be the same - you can probably ignore these messages
And at least one file was blank - layers but nothing in them
The only real issue are the warnings like
Warnings: 1
1. 24 Dimension not imported.
I would suggest importing these files individually into TBC to identify the missing entities - they would appear to be some type of dimension that TBC cant handle - you may well me able to live without them
Hope this helps
Not sure if you're using TBC to check coordinates or things of that sort but you'll want to double check things. Bentley inherently uses international foot and has caused us a headache or two over the years. We've never thought of importing a file into TBC though, we go straight to Civil3d. We might try TBC in the future to see how it does.

That probably has something to do with the seed file that is being used. Bently is actually pretty good at units as long as the user specifies them as they are being exported, similar to TBC and Infinity. In fact, architects & engineers can work in the same file without scaling by 12. I really wish AutoCAD worked the same.

Actually Bentley inherently metric. The foot it uses depends on your settings.
