I have C&G Survey 7 w/AutoCAD 2004 OEM on my home computer. I haven't used it in a few months, but when recently trying to start something new I ran into a problem.

It seems that AutoCAD portion is working fine, but C&G is not loading. I can open/save/work on a new drawing, but clicking on any of the menu commands on the C&G side gives me an "Unknown Command" error in the text window near the bottom of the screen.

I've seen some older postings saying that one should type in "appload" and then load cgsurvey.arx (or something similar to this), but "appload" does work either (I've further read that in the OEM version of AutoCAD that "appload" isn't supported anyway).

I'm betting a setting is bad or there is a file that has somehow been corrupted, but I don't have a clue as to what it might specifically be.

Any ideas?

APPLOAD functionality is not available in the OEM products due to OEM licensing restrictions imposed by Autodesk. I can only surmise that you might be double-clicking a DWG to have the Windows File Association launch the ACAD.EXE application that essentially by-passes the Carlson/C&G start-up routines. My only suggestion based on the information provided would be to first launch C&G through the Windows "Start" button and then open the desired DWG. If this doesn't bear any fruit, a call to the Carlson Technical Support Group would be my next suggestion.
