We have 2 brand new data collectors that won't boot up.
Both are doing the same thing.

Cold Boot or Warm Boot won't work. It stalls on a screen that has 12 small squares indicating boot up progress I guess.
It stalls on the 4th square.

Took out the battery and re-installed, tried holding the key down for real long time, I get a "go back to factory defaults" say yes.
Still no luck.

Is anyone else having or had this problem?

I checked the Juniper knowledgebase and the http://www.junipersys.com/Juniper-Systems-Rugged-Handheld-Computers/support/Knowledge-Base/Support-Knowledge-Base-Topics/Not-Responding-Lock-up/Stuck-during-the-boot-process&apos ;">Stuck during the boot process might have some potential solutions. Otherwise, a call in to the Carlson Technical Support Staff (+1-606-564-5028) would be another course of action.

When we've experienced this, a reload/update of the operating system was how we fixed it. Just follow the instructions at the link Ladd included.
