Looking for a way to offset a 3D arc, draw a curved 3D polyline, or 3d offset a spline. ?ÿAfter topo on several curb islands, there??s got to be a better way to setup break lines than the way I??m doing it. ?ÿDraw polylines with arcs in 2d and convert to 3d? ?ÿHow do you do it? ?ÿAny tips/advice is much appreciated.
3D plines are a guide for the TIN
The TIN is composed of triangles that model the surface.
If there is way to incorporate an arc in the TIN we'd like to hear about it.
Draw/3D Polyline
You can use point numbers and it'll use their elevations, or you can just tell it the elevations you want.?ÿ You can also draw arcs.
As far as offsets go:?ÿ Eduit/3D Polyline Utilities/Offset 3D Polyline.?ÿ I check off Interval, and it'll let me offset a bottom of curb breakline to give the top back of curb.?ÿ As long as the curbs are fairly uniform, then it should be good enough.?ÿ If you're looking for a more accurate representation, you need to shoot the top of curb separately.
