I am running Carlson Survey 2015 on Windows 7 Pro. Just wondering if there is a setting for this somewhere. I use romansim, romandup and romantri fonts in my cad drawings and I have several blocks saved, like certificates, title block, north arrows, vicinity maps, etc. Not always, but sometimes, when I explode a block to make a change, or even when I don't explode it but just enter attributes when I insert it, the fonts in the block will change to standard, which, of course, changes the whole thing, so I have to change them back using the properties command. The change is not always immediate, but will show up later. Any ideas? Thanks.
Do you have those fonts installed on your computer? I had a similar problem on my Windows 8 laptop.
Thanks to some help from this board, I found the fonts I was missing, and was able to install them, and all is good.
Jimmy, wouldn't the fonts be installed if they work correctly most of the time?
FONTMAP
FONTALT
Probably has something to do with these 2 system variables.
But since (my) help does not work in Carlson, I can't dig any deeper.
Good Luck.
Your old drawings would probably plot correctly with the old fonts.
Creating new drawings with fonts that are not in the computers font package would not be possible.
Probably so. I was missing some fonts, and had to install them.
Maybe you are installing a block or something that might be redefining a text style or something? Just guessing at this point.
