my computer keep resetting to radians instead of surveyor's units.

I've had this issue for sometime and have worked around it but I'd like to know if there is some permanent fix!

Anyone else have this issue, or am I out there alone? 😉

Any sort of fix? Like removing radians forever? doubtful I'll be working in radians in my lifetime!

While I'm no guru, if you set up your drawing template with all of those setting correctly like you want, then when you open a new drawing, they should all stay still like you want them.

I've probably, since I got 2008, revised my "survey.dwt" a dozen times for settings I like to see in place.

Just close all of the drawings out, open the dwt, make the changes, Save as dwt, close, then restart and you ought to be good to go.

yeah Kris, I do the same, the survey.dwt has been modified to my tastes, but the units settings still revert to radians, in particular when I swap from "Lines by angles" in carlson back to cad commands line "line"....if I list the line to check a bearing it's in radians...

I wasn't able to replicate your results. If you click on Help -- About Carlson, what is the date of your application? I'm running the 02/13/08 build of the software. If your application date is earlier than this, visit the Survey 2008 download page for an update. If you already have the most current build, please send me your DWT file (lnelsonATcarlsonswDOTcom) and the step-by-step procedure (if available) that produces the problem and I'll see what can be done.
