Anyone use carlson that can email me the steps to close a traverse? 2 bs 1 set 3. 3 bs 2 set 4. 4 bs 3 tie to 1 call it 5. 1 bs 4 tie to 2 call it 6. I am using carlson x-port's process compass results and cant make it work.
I think you will need to have your inst pnt as 5 bs 4 instead of 1 bs 4.

I don't use Carlson but have you tried to reuse 1 and 2 instead of creating points 5 & 6?
I have to have a position tie and an angle tie to have a closed loop traverse so its necessary to store them. I just realized I was having trouble because I was doing a rotation during the survey and it was changing my coordinates. If I use 5 instead of 1 it works as long as I go in and edit the raw data with the rotated coordinates. Thanks for everyones help.
