My question is about the pick previous command. Maybe im going crazy but i feel like its working differently for me now. Ill do my best to try to explain.

For example i would move multiple objects finish the command and then if i wanted to do something with the same objects start the command again... lets say move again and then p for previous.?ÿ

Whats happening for me now is i can have no command active single click aka highlight a single object then hit escape un-highlight, single click a different object then escape then another and escape..... then lets say i start the move command and then p for previous it will then choose each object that i clicked/highlighted as my previous selection...

I thought previous would only pick the objects chosen in the last command only not each object that was individually highlighted in a no command state.... is it just me or is that weird.

I thought it was a system variable maybe similar to pickfirst or something but i cant figure it out.

Is that how this is working for anybody, any ideas?

I am using Civil3d 2018 and I use L (Last) when wanting to select previously selected items.

If I select/unselect multiple items, then input MOVE and P for (Previous), mine only selects the last item that was placed, not what was selected/unselected.

My default answer when CAD doesn't perform "normal" functions, is to do a reboot.

Scott thanks for your input you are a valued contributor.

It seems every time I rotated in paper space, which I always try to avoid (mvsetup), all my settings get changed. It's difficult to work opposite than what you are used to. Glad to hear this fixed your issue.?ÿ?ÿ

No worries, no I was not making fun of your grammar, there really is a noun/verb box setting in AutoCAD, and I thought that might be the cause of your troubles.?ÿ

I've never selected objects that way, I usually pre-select all of the objects I want to modify and the type 'select' 'p' to make sure that I have them all.?ÿ The program will retain the previous selection until you click on an entity.?ÿ That's where you will lose the previous group.

I am using Civil3d 2018 and I use L (Last) when wanting to select previously selected items.

"L" is the last created entity. It's the last entity in the database and doesn't necessarily relate to the previous selection set.

At the command prompt:

type: pickadd

It should be 1

edited: nevermind. I did not read enough of the thread before replying.
