I was able to create a legal description by using GeneralReports ManagerParcelsGeneralLegal_Description and dbl-clicked on it.

This worked at the office, but would not work at home.

Does anybody have an idea why it would not work on the other computer (identical installs, except home is on XP)? Would I be missing a template or anything you can think of?

Thanks,

Steve (C3d 2010, no SP)

Maybe some of the .xml and .xsl settings files got deleted? There are several required to make it work.

c:ProgramDataAutodeskC3D 2011enuDataReportsxsl is where they are stored on my machine. You might check there to see if they all got installed.

Incidentally, this folder includes the files that you tweak if you want to change what the report says (how it calls out curves, etc.). I don't have any easy answers if you want to do that, unless you are a programmer - then you know way more about it than I do. I just did it by opening them up in notepad, scrolling through the code, and then editing them manually (after first copying the files to a secure location). It really isn't all that hard, just a little tedious. "GeneralLegalPhrasings.xml" was the one I edited.

Thanks a lot Paul,

I am emailing that dir to the house, and investigate further from there.

Thank you anticipating my next question! (re editing the xml)

I'm going to copy and rename the xml, then edit it.

I really do appreciate your help,

Steve
