I use this one for invert measurements. Set to the right mode is corrects for slope. Works great. Make sure you get one that includes the "indirect measurement" functionality.?ÿ ?ÿ

In the booklet that came with it, it says that indirect measurement will always be off so i wasn't sure if that was what was wrong or not.?ÿ
When I was messing around with it, I went to Indirect measurement, then to Indirect Height. Is that how you set it up for use on inverts??ÿ

How short? ?ÿSounds like maybe it is giving you the true vertical distance that you actually want, rather than the hypotenuse that you are actually measuring, maybe?

Yes, that is how it works. You have to initiate the indirect mode each time you turn it on. That is something of a bummer, but it only takes a few clicks, so its not awful. The model number of mine is GLM42.?ÿ ?ÿ ?ÿ
