Hi,?ÿ

I have a cad drawing in intellicad with two viewports.?ÿ Main drawing viewport is scaled at 1"=250'?ÿ The detail viewport is scaled at 1"=100'.?ÿ ?ÿthe LTSCALE is set to "off" on both.?ÿ I'd like to set these LTscales independently from each other so the line scale looks good.?ÿ For some reason this isn't possible unless someone knows a trick ??ÿ

Thank you and happy new year?ÿ

?ÿ

I don't know if this will work in Intellicad, but in Autocad I set my ltscale to 1, msltscale to 1, and psltscale to 1. This will keep the linetypes consistent across the board, assuming Intellicad also has an annotation scale setting for model space.

@blitzkriegbob?ÿ Intellicad only shows those scales as "on" or off"?ÿ ?ÿTurning them "on" removes line formatting so hidden lines become continuous?ÿ special lines lose their attributes?ÿ?ÿ

I turned them all "off"?ÿ ?ÿcan't find the individual viewport scale settings.?ÿ Intellicad is basically autocad but they have changed the titles of some of the routines.?ÿ ?ÿIts difficult to find some commands, as the names are changed?ÿ?ÿ

Sorry, I guess you will have to wait for someone knowledgeable about Intellicad. My experience with it only lasted for a couple of months about eight years ago. Sometimes Autocad functions apply to Intellicad, but I guess this is not one of those times.

@goodgps Here's what I do:

First, I guess I should say I'm assuming that you have paperspace set to actual size of paper and not scaled.
Set my ltscale to 1. On the Paperspace tab, set psltscale to on.?ÿ Seems like you have to do this on each paperspace tab.

In model space this is going to look pretty crazy, but in each of the viewports the ltscale will be correct.

Doesn't help with block sizes, but I suck them into paperspace (use the change space routine) and scale them to 1 also.

@goodgps?ÿ What version of IntelliCAD are you using?

Later versions have a MSLTSCALE variable, if yours has that variable follow the instructions provided by BlitzkriegBob above.

Then, to make your linetypes appear as desired in Model space, adjust the annotation scale setting as suggested by BB.?ÿ Remember to REGEN after changing the annotation scale.

There is as good an explanation as I have seen of the whens and whys of linetype scaling at https://cadsetterout.com/autocad-tutorials/line-type-scales/ , the essence of which is:

If you only draw and plot from Model space, you can use LTSCALE to scale all your line types to suit your plot scale. If you use Paper space layouts, just leave this set at 1.0.
