someone has emailed me "AutoCAD Land Desktop 2004 most likely will not run on Windows 7." regarding our current software and the upcoming change to Windows 7.

anyone know if this is true?

Not true for me. I installed it on Windows 7 this spring for a fellow surveyor whom I help out with tech. stuff. He has been using it all year with no problems.

No problem here with an even older version of LDD/Acad. The Add-On package Express Tools was difficult to install, but a computer nerd friend of mine got that working, too.

I have been running LDD 2004 on my HP Windows 7 machine for 2 years now.
I have the typical problems I have with ACAD, nothing more.

I successfully run LDD3 on both Windows 7 & 8. You need to follow a specific work flow with regards to the installation but its not difficult.

I had trouble running 32 bit AutoCAD on a 64 bit machine but this solved it:

This was my solution for 32 bit AutoCAD Map on Windows 7 64 bit as well.
