It is with sadness that I note the recent passing of Terry Dotson in December, 2024. Terry was a hard-working individual and veritable "fountain of knowledge" person who tirelessly serviced the entire CAD community. Terry built and maintained an impressive technology portfolio and his talents and skill-sets will be missed.

Thank you, Terry, for the insights, knowledge and wisdom you shared with and imparted to me.

Cordially,

Ladd Nelson
Carlson Software

I continue to use his CAD tools almost everyday. Sad to here. PIP "program in peace".

Oh man, I'm really sorry to hear this. We used his tools alongside Carlson for many years. Perhaps he'll now enhance the mapping process of the heavens.

I just saw this in the latest Carlson news email. Terry helped me multiple times over the years, and I use Toolpac every day. RIP. Please keep it going Mr. Nelson.

Ahh, man.  RIP, brother.  You're a light to the world and your big handprints will carry your character with us for decades and beyond.  What a legend.

TOOLPAC My 5 Most used commands:

ABM - Add, remove or change background masks on a selection set mtext or dimensions
DTW - Twists the viewport display making selected segment horizontal
IWT - Inserts multiple TIF images based on world TFW files
PTE - Polyline (3D) Tag Editor
PTO - Offset 3D polylines

What are some of you favorites?
