sad to hear this.
I liked his posts and his cyber-psyche on surveying and non-surveying issues.
I remember when he admonished me in a good natured fashion on the old board about how I should get up to the Bonaroo fest in Tn. and enjoy life as an elder. He made such a good point.
He left us too soon.
RIP Steven
I'm so sorry to hear this.
He was definitely one of the the few "good guys".
RIP, and thank you Steve.

Wow! What a shock to read this morning. RIP Steven. Laugh with Versal, survey with Bill and jam with Jimi!
It's always a sad day when a good man dies too soon!
Godspeed Steven
D@mn. I was thinking about him the other day, wondering why he hadn't posted in a while.
Sad to read. My condolences to his family.
Steve and I shared a lot of music related stories. He was one of the posters I always wanted to meet and play some music with. I always find it hard to write something in response to someones death. He will be missed.

This is a shock. He was a great guy. I can’t imagine the hell he and his family must have been going through for who knows how long.
Didn’t he and Kent McMillan call one another “cousin”?
Condolences to his family and friends.
RIP, Steve

Unbelievable. I too had been wondering why he hadn't been posting much of late. We had lots in common. He and I both loved music, played bass and had psych degrees. We also completely disagreed about Bob Dylan. He was a huge Dylan fan.
He was always a level-headed guy and I enjoyed reading his opinions about everything.
See you on the flip side Steve.
Whoooa....talk about gettin bucked off and stepped on at the same time...RIP Steve, youre gonna be missed buddy.

Oh my. Sad news.
Always enjoyed chatting with him about music and such. He seemed like a good guy. My condolences to his family and friends.
Rest in peace, Steve.
My condolences to the family.
From his posts, he certainly seemed like a "rock solid" type of guy.
i will miss his often pragmatic and level headed posts. thank you mr gardner
He was one of those guys that everyone could respect, and his contributions will be missed.
That is sad news. Condolances to His family.
Sad news and too young to go!
He will be missed on here as he had good survey posts.
Keith

Every time one of us passes I think of this,
Woodsman, Surveyor, Friend.....
Your spirit walks before the wind,
Where once we stood on mountain high,
Wildflowers grow and warm winds sigh,
A stone with notches made before,
A weathered post, Surveyors lore,
Your mark you left on yonder tree,
The scribe cut deep for all to see......
