Congress, in their wisdom, must maintain a balance of daylight.

Wendell:

Didn't have to adjust mine :>) Will have to reset the one back to the Correct Time that has the auto time switch programmed in to it when it changes on the old date. I wish they would leave the time alone and quit this jump ahead and the stumble back mess.

I miss that about Arizona. It was nice never having to worry about time change there. :-$

Clocks on the wall, clock on the coffee maker, clock on the microwave, clocks on the table, clock on the cell phone, clocks on the data collector, clock on the computer..After awhile the thought comes to me, why are we doing this again?
If I know the net result is we only moved the clocks ahead or back one hour, do I really have to go through the same clock changing dance twice a year?

Cable News yesterday

Saw a diddy on the cable news yesterday that stated one of the drawbacks of DST was "an increase in energy consumption, particularly air-conditioning, due to the extended daylight hours.."

To quote Bo Dietl: "Really?"......."REALLY?"

Cable News yesterday

If memory serves, it was only last summer (perhaps the summer before), the pundits claimed energy was being saved by not having to turn on lights as early.of course, not a word about how much more energy was being used by a/c.......

Cable News yesterday

I'm sure we're all aware of the different flavors of cable news. At times they all seem to nurture and proliferate public misinformation.

They even take it to an art form..

Cable News yesterday

Of course you are right. I just mentioned my tidbit to highlight the misinformation news likes to disseminate.

Side note: I don't watch cable news, just news from the local channels. Some of us just can't afford the fancy stuff like expanded cable services, "smart" phones, etc....:-D
