a few pictures from our annual hike with the boys.
Already saw the movie. I think it was called: Men Behaving Badly.
Cold and crystal blue skies. Couldn't' ask for much better, huh?
What's the story on that camp banquet table Perry?
I build a table at the site every year. With 15 guys, the table is a necessity.
here's the group shot on the summit of lafayette I;m in the front row in the blue checked flannel...
PBR and Genny....doesn't get better.
No matter what the thermometer says, the presence of that white stuff on the ground means it's way too cold for me to be camping.
Jim,
You got that right! I'm glad those who participated enjoyed themselves.
Well.......at least the beer won't get hot. :excruciating:

The temps were perfect for camping. 40's during the day and near freezing at night. All the food doesn't need refrigeration and the beer stays cold but doesn't freeze.
Wen ended up hiking 9 miles on saturday with about 4,000 feet of elevation gain to the summit of Mt. Lincoln and Mt Lafayette.
Great photos. The Lafayette Ridge trail is one of my favorites in all of the Whites. Cant agree about the PBR though.

Wow that's a lot of clothes to be wearing for temps in the 40's. T shirt and shorts weather for hiking. Must of been windy. 😉
I'll take those temperatures any day over 80 degrees and 100% humidity. Those are the perfect temperatures for hiking up hills! and down right balmy compared to the near zero degree temps we have right now in Alaska I might add.

Yes, pretty much near-record highs last weekend. It actually got a little warmer than I would like for the hike. When we were below treeline, the trees were getting kind of drippy with melting snow.
Nice!
