Dude,

I, being a deep, deep baby boomer, totally reject that opinion.?ÿNone of those things still are, or were, even close to being cool.

Catalogues? Really?

I hope this was just an exercise to elicit a repose from an old-timer. Job well done

I'm not a baby boomer.?ÿ However, I have often noted that "what is old is new again."

Amazon is just Sears...........but on t3h int@rw3bz! etc, etc.

I'm a boomer who was never cool, and paid minimal attention to what was cool.?ÿ Go for what is practical, efficient, economical, etc.

@bill93?ÿ

At the time, 18 years old, I wanted ƒ??coolƒ? clothes, I was married, just moved into a new house on wheels and was broke for the next five years or so; by then the urge had worn off. ?????ÿ

?ÿI learned later that I was a Boomer.?ÿ Didn't think about it at the time.?ÿ I couldn't afford to be cool.?ÿ I was paying every dime I had to get through college.?ÿ Even during the high school years, I wasn't concerned with looking cool because I knew that look didn't mean squat to anyone but the one wearing it.?ÿ Small people are driven to do silly things so that some people may think they are big people.?ÿ What a waste.

Attended a business meeting last evening.?ÿ Two of the Boomers present were wearing polo shirts, shorts and flip flops, plus one was wearing a ball cap during the meeting.?ÿ One arrived in his 2020 Porsche.?ÿ One arrived driving a school vehicle as he is the Superintendent of schools and possibly the most highly paid office worker in his entire county.

Whoever put that all together sure seems critical of how others dress and act.?ÿ I guess it takes all kinds though.?ÿ I'm thinking back in the day we would've whipped their butt every day at the bus stop.?ÿ ?ÿ

The rest of the world better be thankful they didn't grow up as a boomer.?ÿ ?ÿ;)

Served on a board 20-plus years ago with a fellow who had gone "Hippie" in the late 1960's.?ÿ He never recovered from that.?ÿ I recall him telling us about the night when he was about 19 that he was out getting high with his buddies and somehow they ended up in what he called a trucker bar.?ÿ The crowd turned on them immediately but he somehow made it out the door, only to be chased down and given a dull pocket knife haircut in an alley.

Nice enough guy, but an odd duck.

being in the dead center of boomerism, I don't understand that list at all. Can't remember the last time I watched a network TV or even a cable show unless it's my FIL's old western obsession. I do have a floppy sun hat,,,,,

@flga-2-2 NAH!! If they were from Florida it would be black knee high socks and sandals or, at least, vented shoes.

I wore jean shorts for almost all of my growing up.?ÿ When your jeans got a hole in them (usually in the knees) you just cut them off and wore them as shorts/swim suit.?ÿ Nowadays folks BUY jeans with holes in them.
